Statement of Faith
We Believe . . .
The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy; and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. The timeless Word of God is the supreme authority for all of humanity. Whether recognized as such or not, the fact remains that God has given mankind absolute truth in the Bible. As believers, we recognize, respect, and regard the authority of the Holy Scriptures.
One God, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a Trinity. We believe that the one God eternally exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God, co-equal and co-eternal, having precisely the same nature and attributes, and worthy of precisely the same worship, confidence, and obedience. Matthew 3:16, 17; Matthew 28:19, 20; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3, 4; II Corinthians 13:14.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, God manifest in the flesh, His virgin birth, His sinless human life, His Deity, His divine miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, His mediatorial work, and his physical return in power and glory. The New Testament asserts that Jesus Christ is equal to, and identical with God, performing works that only God can do. As the Son he is distinct from the Father he is of identical being with him and the Holy Spirit.
The Salvation of lost and sinful man through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, through his grace, not by works, and the regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
The Resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
The Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live by faith, a life that is holy, walking in grace to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Unity of the Spirit of all true believers, the Church, the Body of Christ. As believers in the redemptive work of God on the cross, we believe that Jesus rose again to give us life, not only for eternity but also for our time here on Earth. This life has been given to Fellowship with Him, to be Witnesses of Him, and to Extend His Kingdom.
